Hi all,
I've been messing about with Linux music on and off since I switched over from Windows about 9 years ago.
My music involvement is teaching woodwind and brass, and leading a (small!) worship team at church. And it's the latter which has brought me back to trying to produce music on Linux.
I don't have a lot of gear, running a simple little setup:
Cheap little M-Track for recording vocals and instruments as needed.
Newly acquired Launchkey MINI for portable controller
My trusty old Roland RS-5 synth, and an RD-600 (also RD 100) for keying in bigger parts.
And finally Behringer B2 condenser mic and various other mics (ie 58's).
So from that list I'm sure you get the idea that I'm a rank amateur without a lot of cash! My main interest is to produce backing tracks (drum/bass/pads) for church and the occasional Acker Bilk style track for my own instrumental solos.
Look forwards to seeing you around the boards!
