jack alsa no pulseaudio [SOLVED]

I've been reading this post. https://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopi ... 6&start=15 but it's just not working for me, here is my config. After adding all of these and then starting up jack then run these commands.
doing all of this the playback and capture show up in Catia but no audio. Can anyone help me sort this out?
this took me a bit of time to sort out but I switched to using cadence with it's plugins and bridges to alsa. I was running into issues because linux audio with jackd is a lot different than a lot of other platforms. It just takes some time to get use to.
