Experiments in recording + mix&fx

Hi,

On my website, at http://www.jwm-art.net/o7.php?p=gfb are three mp3s of some fairly experimental digital sounds I've been working on very recently.

It's experimental (well not to me) so will probably not be to all tastes. I've had some positive feedback about the track http://www.jwm-art.net/art/audio/meander_fall.mp3 ('bonus track' on gfb page above).

Enjoy if it's your thing ;)
Cheers,
James.

Great that you posted your stuff here. Did you record all those sounds yourself?

Interesting and different... I will listen to the song again somewhere this day ;)

Yes, all the sounds I recorded myself. With the meander_fall track, I used a previous ardour session* and simply added extra fx and removed parts to create a completely different track.

*the ardour session was for http://www.jwm-art.net/zen_mtb/sounds/m ... ight-i.mp3 - which, aside from the faint pad sounds created with zynaddsubfx, is created entirely from samples (using my mountain bike as an instrument and various other blocks of wood and metal), and sequenced using muse and specimen sampler.
