Hi,
Two questions in one, related:
-Why do we have in kx 16 midi trhu ports? How can I set this number?
-I use StudioManager via Wine (the yamaha console controller, which works great with Wine). Normally (I mean on my "ubuntu desktop system", or other distros I used in the past), I plug the console with usb ( e.g 01V96), and in StudioManager settings I can choose on of the 8 01V96 midi channels. In KX I don't see one, just the 16 midi-thru. So I use one of them, and connect it to 01V in Cadence... There are no midi setting in winecfg.
So What the midi setting difference in KX?

It was working with a bridge: StudioManager set to Midi-thru-1, then Midi-thru-1 to 01V in Jack, and same for input. But there was a kind of lag, and sometimes when I was moving a motorised fader, it was hanging, due to the time the midi-back was sent I suppose. Now it's ok

but why 16 ports by default?

I tried with 4 ports, it's fine: wine / studiomanager recognizes the 8 01V midi ports and the 4 midi-thru...
