I'm rather new to Linux, so I apologize if this is a common error.

My computer is a Toshiba Satellite l735d-s3300.

I burned the latest KXStudio ISO (14.04.2, direct from site) to a USB just fine by using unetboot, changed the BIOS boot order to boot from the USB first, and booted the OS from the USB successfully. I think I successfully installed the OS to the hard drive (Installation window closed, but I didn't get a "installation successful" Message, and it just took me back to the desktop), but whenever I remove by USB and try to boot the OS from my computer's HDD, it just takes me to a blank screen with a single underscore and makes a sharp beeping noise whenever I press a key.

I'd highly appreciate if any of you can either help or point me in the right direction to fix the error.

I've tried many reinstallations, picked English as my language, used different partitioning options (I'd re-download the iso, but my internet speed is abysmal over here), but I get the same result of being taken to blank desktop screen with no indication that it finished.

My boot USB is a 4GB maxell. Show I try a different one with more capacity? Or perhaps a DVD installation?

Also, how do I tell if the installation was sucessful?

I set the install to English and chose to install to the entire hard drive, and tried clicking on continue only once after entering the username, only to be greeting with a "The installer has crashed, please file a bug report" message. ;-;

A bit of an odd question, but is there any way I can buy a USB with KXStudio pre-burned and ready to intstall? I've spent much more time than I should've trying to get this to work...
