Just a note that I played with this a bit yesterday on 64 bit fully updated Mint Cinnamon 17.2 and it initially failed to install. A quick google search turned up this bug report by the developer:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1495722
Installing the packages he noted separately first allowed the .deb to install with no other issues.
