Hello everyone.
I'm new on this forum and I will install the all ISO KXstudio over my Linux Mint mate. The reason for this topic is that I was reading the install instructions and was confuse to me.
I was confuse for two instructions:
1. Contrary to what the Ubuntu installer seems to recommend with its network check, it is recommended that you disconnect from the internet before and whilst you install KXStudio so that updates are not fetched and the process is completed as quickly as possible. After a successful install and reboot you will be prompted to install any available updates.
I understand that I must to install without internet connection to do a fast installation. I wonder if I can do the installation in the normal way too or is highly recommended the non internet way.
2. About non free codecs. ¿There are in the ISO included or there download from internet? Because if it's so I think I will need a connection during the installation.
Ok. Sorry for my questions if they are dumb, I'm just confusing about because my unknown, and I want to do in the right way in order to get the right being. And I'm sorry my poor English.
Thanks! Goines,
Question about KXStudio installation.

Re: Question about KXStudio installation.
Hello, and thanks for the fast reply. And thanks for the KXStudio too
I am writing from the live KXStudio usb that I made, so I have not the marks pages. So the info where I get that in bold letters, about no connecting to internet while running the installation is from the kxstudio web, in documentations option.
There are an explanation of how install KXStudio. There say that.
I am a big fun of kde, I started on Linux in Kubuntu, but the audio in there always give me trouble. Since the Kubuntu 14.10 I started to use Linux Mint mate in the hope that works, but was worst in my own experience. LMMS close a lot because the segment violation thing.
I run LMMS as root but I cant use VeSTige haha. So, when I found this distro, (that I never noticed are a distro, always I used as repos) I decided to jump to this. I am happy without use it indeed haha.
Ok, thanks for your kind reply and I will install this wonder as soon as I finish my back ups.
Thanks, Goines.

Re: Question about KXStudio installation.
Hi again.
This is the link to go to the info that I told about:
http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Document ... g_kxstudio
Also I say I was looking some things on the live KXStudio and I concerned about two little "problems". 1. When I looked LMMS, all seems to be right except when I try to use VST. I just made a random download of one from vst4free.com and put it in download folder and tried to use with VeStige but I get an error message. I can think that is because KXStudio is not installed yet, or maybe that VST don't work fine. Ok, I let this for a future issue if it take a place when I finally install KX.
The second was when I search in the menu the Libre Office suite, there is not Calc. Calc was shown on the Libre Office opening window but not run when I make click on it.
That's all for now
Thanks. Goines.
