Csound versions in KXStudio

Post by briandc »

Hi falkTX,

I notice that there are a few different versions of Csound in the KXStudio repos. The one with the heading Csound is 6.02. Then there are the KXStudio "static" versions 5 and 6. Static version 6 is 6.04.

As I need the newer version 6.04, I installed that one, but I can't find how to access it. (actually, I get a "/usr/bin/csound no such file or directory" error if I don't also have version 6.02 installed. But when I install 6.02, that is the only version I can seem to run.

How do I use 6.04??

Thanks!

brian

the only reason I packaged them was for cabbage.

are you using 14.04?
perhaps I can push an update for that.
Yep! It would be nice to have the newest Csound available, as there were some garbling problems on the earlier version, that Rory fixed.

I'm not with my main computer right now, so I did a quick bug-report https://github.com/KXStudio/Repository/issues/9
I'll try to get all of those next week.
Thanks! :)
