Hello everyone,
I Tried to compile qtractor(Probably due to excitement) it spitted out qt library not found
So cranked up synaptic and tried to install libqt4-dev and unsuccessfull due to broken dependencies i am unable to resolve it and if i try to resolve it is removing essential packages that i need(screenshot given below).
How to solve these kind errors i had these problems earlier but solved it but this time unable to do so
Please Help me Thanks in advance for everyone

Please re-enable the kxstudio repositories, do a system update and see if it's fixed.
Sorry No Use of it
I think the 14.04b-64bit released was sorta bad one regarding repositories.
but I Downloaded the 14.0.2-64bit from sourceforge Tried to install it(In a seperate partition), it crashes and mouse rotating forever at user creation stage(also sometimes at language selection stage) I gave up after trying 8 times and Came back to my previous KX and the problem still persists
I don't Understand one thing if the packages are up to date, why some qt4 packages(Like libqt4-dbus,designer,xml etc..) are at version:- 4:4.8.5+git192-g085f851+dfsg-2ubuntu4.1 and some are(like libqt4-gui,libqt4-dev etc,..) at version:- 4:4.8.5+git192-g085f851+dfsg-2ubuntu4
Please help me out or suggest me some tips not to get into those problems in future(atleast)
Cheers

Please explain.
I Simply Mean that i have re-enabled KX repos but the problem continued and no use of doing it..
Please do as I told you.
Exactly done as u told me.
The old kxstudio ISOs did not have the new repository system yet, and may need to manually enable the new stuff.
But i have downloaded the new repos and done system update and everything was working fine until i yesterday tried to install qt4-dev to build the latest qtractor-git.
I have everything setted up to make some work but problems preventing me to and it's a big mess to reinstall entire os again...but anywhere i learnt something from the experience.
Ya i will try, But the problems in sourceforge iso have been resolved or not??? Ok, I will try and report back....
Cheers....

The Actual problem as i have discovered is ,I have disabled the "Important security updates","Recommended updates" and "Unsopported Updates" in updates tab in Muon(See Screenshot).

- disabled
- screen-2.png (67.15 KiB) Viewed 437 times
There are no such options in synaptic( ahh.. confusion).
So the problem is that i have enabled those previously and installed other packages of qt4 and disabled it afterwards and tried to installed the qt4-dev(after disabling) and the updated packages list don't have the updated version(of qt4-dev) so obviously a dependency problem occurs and refuses to install the packages altogether haa...very simple ha..
Solution:- Just enable them(like in screenshot) and run sudo apt-get update and install the required packages and every thing works fine

- enabled
- screen-3.png (67.98 KiB) Viewed 437 times
Warning:- Never ever disable the updates in Muon.
Free Advice :- Use synaptic pkg manager or Muon pkg manager don't use both,Uninstall one of them completely(Purging)
that's it.....Bye
Cheers
