Hello!
I've started trying to use the Calf Vocoder, but I can't seem to make it work - there must be something obvious that I'm missing.
Can someone give me an example of a working configuration?
Thank you!

Did you connect system capture audio in qjackctl Audio tab on the left,
to the calf sidechain on the right? Click the little v widget by 'System' in qjackctl,
to see and connect the sidechains.
Don't connect the calf audio output back it's own sidechains.
The view in the filters window relates the the four sections atop the gui,
carrier, modulator, processed and output. Under the big isolation/analyzer knob,
click in the rectangle to switch between the four views. carrier, modulator, processed and output.
The sliders act like eq, left to tight, low freq to high,
so adding sizzle, you would turn up the little noise nobs on the right,
to add some rumble, the noise knobs on the left.
After lowering the 'to mix' knobs in the carrier and modulator panes,
maximise the 'to mix' knob in the Processed pane. Having an ongoing sound source
will help you experiment, adjusting the noise knobs. The attack and release knobs
act like the a and r from sound envelope adsr controls, turning release far right
extends the tonal decay.
Solo a pair of middle bands, by clicking the square knob beneath each slider.
Turn up the little dry knobs, to increase the audio input signal in that frequency, then add some noise,
and use the bal knobs to pan one left, and one right. Now bring up the
two 'to mix' knobs in the carrier and modulator panes, and lower the processed 'to mix' knob,
and experiment blending them with balances you like, and save some presets.
type youtube "calf plugins" in your google, so see many calf videos.
Cheers
