kxstudio ppas on linux mint debian edition

i'm using kxstudio on a current lmde which is based on jessie. it was possible to add the ppas as described on the web site. however, now on each update, lmde complains that ppas are not supported on lmde. i think they do this to inform users of the ubuntu-based regular linux mint that things are different on lmde. so far everything seems to work nevertheless, but these warnings every time are a nuisance. is there any way to get rid of them?
