One issue with SFZ is it is not a real standard. At least the so-called SFZ2 standard comes in several poorly documented variations. As far as I know the Cakewalk version is implicitly described in this book: http://noisesculpture.com/cakewalk-synthesizers whereas in recent years Plogue has added their own extensions. I have had good results running the (free) Plogue sforzando sfz player (windows vst) using Carla lv.2 in Ardour, so that provides another SFZ option.

Varpa is right. I also tried sforzando, but it's just a workaround , I have too much xruns.
But then if you have some sfzs that don't load thats a bit of a show stopper. Do you know which opcodes your sfzs use that aren't yet supported?
I'm not even sure it's an opcode problem.
