Now when an installer is introduced, is ioGNU/Linux upgrade friendly. I mean is the system going towards a rolling release or it will stay to be a snapshot of a bleeding-edge multimedia packages. Where are the ambitions of ioGNU/Linux developer(s) going?

Well it's based on Sid so yes, it's a rolling release... if you keep installed apt-listbugs and, maybe, do not perform an update/upgrade every day, it should be ok.
I'm using Sid for years and happy with it. :P

But as always it depends of your needs and if your machine is for production, you should make backups before important updates. (an usb flash drive with IO Live in the pocket is always a good idea)

Otherwise I try to keep up-to-date packages in the repo, sometimes include new ones... Improve the various homemade programs... And of course there will be some new io GNU/Linux Live releases from time to time. (Maybe a new one in a few weeks, if I improve the hard-drive installer... still in alpha stage... so please be careful when using it... do backups and report me bugs)

Thx for the interest.
