Thanks for your review, emarsk,

well, I know about the issues we have with the graphical representation of the interface, that's why I made the call. Creating a nice interface is indeed a advanced task, and during develop the underlying functionality, it may get lost a bit.
You can't believe how happy I'm that Markus take the task.
Anyone interested in this process can follow Markus on his blog:

There is a new preview available which already address the issues you've mentioned. :)

regards
hermann

I'm curious, what are those RAT plugins in the screenshot? Where do they come from?

Those in the plugin bar been partial simulations of the Pro Co Rat
The Rat you see in the Rack is the result of the development circle. You'll find it in the plugin bar in the distortion section.
I've simulate the input section from the circuit (guitarix ampsim toolkit), then emulate the OP-amp with the help of a interpolated lockup table, then the Output section of the opamp (guitarix ampsim toolkit), followed by the clipping stage, which is again emulated by a interpolated lockup table, finally goes into the tone section simulated again with the guitarix ampsim toolkit.
The RAT-FEEDBACK isn't used in this simulation, as it is part of the lockup table already, which simulate the opam.

I'm not sure how close I come to the real RAT with this, as I didn't own one, but the measured frequency response and distortion form seems to be very close to the original.
