Simple graphical frontend to change jackd's bufsize

Post by bluebell »

It's not more than a graphical frontend to jack_bufsize:

Changing jackd's bufsize (-p, --periods) on the fly can cause headaches, kill your cat or turn your Linux box into an evil Windows PC.

Hi

Any special reason to pick 96 samples/frames? Usual values are 16/32/64/128/.. .. (power of 2)

It's a personal reason: On my systems (Core i5, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2) I can go down to 96 but not to 64. Jackd crashes with -p64.

Period size should be a power of 2 but it seems to work with other values, too. Maybe some plugins will make trouble.

The script is so simple that everyone can edit the values as appropriate.
