Cadence with different setups or Where are Cadence settings?

Hi there,
I am using different sound cards and audio settings in different situations, so I would like to be able to start cadence with different settings already set up instead of having to change them everytime inside of cadence (select soundcard, change cpu usage, tweak jack settings etc).
My idea was to create little scripts which alter cadence's setup files and then call 'cadence-session-start -s'.
So far the only place I have found which seems to store settings is '~/.config/Cadence' because the files there get a new time stamp after stopping cadence. So I copied that complete directory after changing settings and copied it back before 'cadence-session-start -s' but to my surprise that did just nothing, settings had remained the same.
Any hint for me? Which files should I look at? Or any other idea for starting cadence with different setups?
TIA!
