[solved] Tango Studio 2.2 questions for setup

Hello everbody

I'm new to this distribution. On my pc i have openSUSE most of the time but there are lot of software depencies for Pulse and KDE 4.

So I installed this Tango Studio but I think that this distribution has no power saving options. Does this have to do with the real time kernel. All of my fans are rotating very fast. In my Bios they are also rotation very fast but when I'm in opensuse or windows 7 then they rotate at lower speed.
But this does not happen in Tango Studio. Is very annoying because they are stock fans. Everybody with a stock Intel cpu fan knows how loud it can be.
Seems very strange. What can I do about this? ANd how can I find out?

Hope I find some helb here. I tried to register also at the official forum but until now was not accepted by the admin. And there everything is in french. I'm very poor in french had only two years of french in school.

Thx hihu

It has, but they are set to 'performance' by default. Just add the appropriate addon on the top or bottom panel (with right click).

Thanks for your reply.

I found this panel an my cpu was clocked to 3,9 ghz in perfomance mode.

I can choose convervative, on demand, performance and powersave. The lowest CPU clock is 1,60 ghz but fans are rotating as loud as it was before.

This is what I get with cpufreq-info. I changed every CPU to conservative.

Of course I forgot have to install video driver for ati

So I had to install the properitary ati driver from debian. Problem solved.
