Hi,
I'm running Lubuntu 14.04 32bit with updated KXstudio repos, I'm experiencing the following error when I try to lauch jalv:

Code: Select all

jalv: symbol lookup error: jalv: undefined symbol: JACK_METADATA_PRETTY_NAME

Is there a solution?

How are you using Jalv?
It should be:

Code: Select all

jalv.gtk [http://plugin-name-etc]

You can find all useable plugins using the command:

lv2ls

jackdmp 1.9.10

1:1.4.6-1kxstudio1

Thanks you falkTX for your amazing job with KXstudio!! These days I'm testing Carla 2 beta3 and it's very promising. I'm interested to live playing with it (in the past I used custom bash script to lauch and connect standalone synths and effects).

Ok, it is possible that during distro upgrading something has gone wrong.

jackd2 is not installed
jackd is 6:1.9.10~git20130908-1+kxstudio1~precise1

Yes I did, but I have also re-enabled the repos.
So I have purged old jackd and installed the current one from trusty, now jalv is working well!
