Ardour crashes often on 14.04

Hello All,

I've been trying out kxstudio 14.04 attempting to get the kinks ironed so that I can focus on music :)

I would love to be able to use Ardour as my main DAW, but a session usually is punctuated by a crash. I think that it may be related to lv2 plugin use. Here is the output of the terminal:

This is the same sort of output that qtractor gives also. I'm quite the novice user, and would love to get this working! As an aside, I would welcome any sources or recommendation for material to look at to help give me a real understanding of jack, alsa, session management, the various plugin standards, etc. Should I just dive into the source code? Is there a good reference on the basic architecture? I hate the feeling of robotically typing in commands to the terminal that I've read online.

remove/delete the package from eq10q to avoid this errors, it's a bug in the ttl files of the plugins from this package.

Thanks for the reply. I've removed sapistaEQv2.lv2 from the directory containing my lv2 plugins, and this has limited the number of errors printed. Might there be another problem plugin? Ardour gives the following output on initializatiom:

The GLib-GObject-Warning seems to surface on a few other posts, but I've not been able to track down my specific problem, or I'm not facile enough to see it. Again, any suggestions are welcome!

It seems so, try lv2bench in a terminal, to find out which one it may be.
Be aware that this may take soommeeee tiiiimmmeeeee :) as it scans all installed LV2 plugs.

The GLib-GObject-Warning I've as well, but it isn't really critical.

When I run lilv-bench I get the same errors printed. Is there a way to determine which plugin generates these errors? I've removed dynmanifest.lv2 from the directory, but still get these same errors. Didn't see any references to naspro in synaptic, so I'm still puzzled.

I guess you mean indeed lv2bench, if, then you get a output like this:

here you see, there is a problem with the Calf RotarySpeaker plugin, were port 16 have a unknown type declared.
So, it's the calf suite here.
(this is just a low level error, no reason to complain about, just to show how you could find the plug which is related to a error message)
