Hi! I run KX 14.04. Yesterday I updated the software on my system. Today when I started the computer the soundcard does not work . I have never had any problems with it before. The firmware is not loaded during boot, and even the keyboard map is not loaded. Obviously something has changed in the bootup sequence, but I cant seem to find what. Any suggestions?

Can you test the RME on another computer ?

Yes, it works fine on another computer. It also works fine on the same computer if I live boot into some other distro.
The card is not even present under KXubuntu.
I don't know what to do next, so I appreciate any help.

Solved by doing another update.
I suspect that the previous update was not complete, and this caused some strange things.
