Tascam US-144 with Ubuntu 14 - PowerDown on USB2 unbind

Post by hunchi »

Hi there,

I'm struggling with getting a Tascam TS-144 up and running with Ubuntu (Studio) 14.04 x64.

I was following the tutorial by BigMc here: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Benutzer/BigMc

The problem is: When I unbind the usb controller used for the tascam from ehci-pci, the usb device just powers down (also true for every other device on that port. I also tried with xhci_hcd devices. same thing there).

Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to manually bind the unbound device to UHCI? I tried, but did not manage to find out how that's done. All attempts return "device not found".

Thanks for any hint!
Cheers,
hunchi
