Claudia for Windows 64bit?

Post by icraigepps »

Hi everyone,

I've been using Jack for a while now, on a Windows 7, 64bit installation and recently came across these KX Studio tools.
Excellent work! These tools are extremely helpful
Quick question...
I'm running a focusrite scarlett 18i20 through audiomulch and passing through to Reaper, so that I can record and output to speakers at the same time. I'm configuring an ambisonic array of speakers for a sound installation and find it very useful to be able to save my patchbay configuration. The only problem is that Catia doesn't have that option and Claudia isn't available for the Windows.
Are there any plans to port Claudia to Windows?
I was also looking at Catarina and it seems to work fine if i create ports to send to audiomulch, but doesn't recognize the ports I create for passing through Reaper and then to the outputs of my ASIO device. Is there something I'm not doing correctly when creating groups and labeling ports within Catarina?

Thanks!
Ian

Thanks for the response falkTX!

So what supercedes Claudia?

And there's no option for me to save patchbay configs on Windows?
I really like these tools and am trying to weigh if I should install linux or just run it in windows.

btw there is a windows port of dbus:
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/dbus/#index6h1

That is not to say that I have tried it or know if it's any good. But it would be cool if we could use the same KXstudio tools on Windows.

So if there is a dbus for windows how can we use claudia then ??? being able to automatically restore connections is vital with workflow and Carla which is windows best option stops short of this feautre !!

Can someone please recommend anyway of automatically restoring the last connection ( once opned and connected of course ) in carla or any windows patchbay program ??? i use carla and jack in win 10 and run my daw through it to my sound card , but when i do some changes in my daw the coinnection drops in carla frequently and i have to manually click >open > click my saved connection > then go back to my daw , can anyone suggest any way of automatically reconnecting the last made connection ????

Thankyou
