Installation Instructions

So I'm looking for a cut and dry straight forward way to get a working, up to date KXStudio install on either xubuntu, lubuntu, or a lightweight debian install.
My only concern with moving (back) to debian, is that I don't get the latest Carla git. If this is not true then I'd like to stay with debian prefferably.
It seems everytime I install KXStudio in any way, there is always a missing package or two. (I require the entire base install + the ability for Carla to load one or two specific windows vsts)
You'd think after 3 years of using Linux as a music production platform I'd have this down by now!
