A gretsch bass played with fingers. Has a subdued attack and lots of low end, so it's suited to a mix where you have a lot of percussion or instruments with a lot of treble.

Hey Jeff thanks for these samples. I'm getting maybe a buzz sound or something that sounds like artifacts in the sound every 4-5 notes played for this sample. For instance, on a scale run when I get to the 4th or 5th degree it sounds like it buzzes or something. It's more noticeable on the low end. I'm not sure if this is intended. If it is then disregard.

What sample rate are you playing it at? It was recorded at 48 kHz, but if you're using 44.1, then it's possible that some software interpolation has added unpleasant artifacts.

Well I have JACK setup at 44.1kHz as it's the only way I can use my USB soundcard without pops or clicks right now. I guess that's why I'm hearing it then.

Actually tried it at 48000hz and I still get the same weird issue.
