He folks. I suppose this is a little unconventional and perhaps a bit superfluous, but I think the headphone jack on my Cakewalk FA-66 burned up, so I'm trying to send guitarix's output to the headphone jack on the front of my computer. I can use jack to connect guitarix to Pulse-Jack Source and when I watch the meter for that item on Pavucontrol, I can see the signal is getting that far just fine. But from there I don't know how to direct the output to the built-in output. What am I missing? I hope this isn't the ONE thing pulseaudio can't do.
Thanks for any help!
FFADO box -> Guitarix -> Built-In output? Can it be done?

I can't help with pavucontrol but I don't think this approach is a good idea.
I suggest you should use zita-j2a on the onboard card. It will appear as a new jack client and you will be able to connect guitarix output to it. It could be embbeded in the jack GUI you are using but anyway you can always run it via command line. Something like
could work. Run it without arguments to see the options. Run "cat /proc/asound/cards" and/or "aplay -l" to discover the cards numbers and names.
EDIT: In Debian derivatives at least, the name of the package is "zita-ajbridge".
Cheers! Pablo
