It's true though that LS license is *not* GPL and kinda incompatible with other GPL software.
What in its license is problematic? Debian doesn't contain linuxsampler so there is probably some non-free stuff in it.

I found the "exception"-part. Personally, I think it's still free software, however free enough for me.
