I'm Brent. I live in Oklahoma City Ok. I've done some digital recording in my time but I've had the most experience with my old Ross 4 track. I'm hoping to learn to get some good quality recordings with my new Linux machine. I was a Windows XP guy and well... not any more.
I'm a guitarist and lately, in the past few years a vocalist. I started playing back in the early 80's. I was in to metal pretty... ok well I was obesessed. These days its country, blues, and the like.
I've got a Samson Meteor USB mic, a Yamaha digital mixer and a Tascam US-122 MK2 interface.
Brent

Hi,
Welcome! I'm also a four-tracker from way back, great to see another picker here into the 'Rootsy' musical styles. I see you have a US-122mkii, do you have it up and running on Linux? If I recall it may take a bit of special config to get working but that may be old and outdated info, I have the older Tascam US-122 which works great..
Best of luck as you transition to using Linux for music, there are lots of good folks here with a variety of experience with different hardware and programs..
