Hey falkTX. I've just started learning midi now. Don't know anything about OSC. What are the capabilites of OSC? What am I able to with it?

Does this mean with ToushOSC we can control maybe apps like Ardour3 and Carla?

Im sure its already possible to use touchOSC to control ardour. its just a case of configuring a mapping for ardour. i think there was some brief discussion about it in the ardour forums at some point. There may be some kind of configuration already done.
give google a search for ardour TouchOsc.
Theres also another app that is specifically for ardour called ardroid (android) though development for this has stopped. ive used it while it is rather basic. it works pretty well giving you plaback controls and listing tracks allowing you to enable and disable records on each track

I actually have this app Ardroid and it does do well. I was thinking of making our sound system at church digital with RME soundcard and the only thing keeping me from that is something for Android to control Ardour via tablet. I have googled but what comes up is something that has to be configured with TouchOSC and a program called PD and that will probably be too much to setup for our sound guys.
