Here's a really "fat" version of the synth bass.

Another synth bass. This is a bright, sustained one.

Thanks for these jeff!!!
What would cause velocity to randomly go up when using a sequencer? I'm hearing a random raise in velocity when I play these samples through qsampler and non-sequencer.

Probably because different programs have different ways of doing velocity curves.
You can make an sfz less responsive to velocity by adding an ampeg_veltrack value.
1) Make a copy of the sfz file, for example "brightbass_copy.sfz".
2) Load "brightbass_copy.sfz" in a text editor.
3) Locate any/every line that reads <group> and add a new line after this. Set ampeg_veltrack to some value less than 100, for example 80 for just 80 percent responsive to velocity.
4) Save this edited sfz file, and use it in your sequencer.
Notes:
If the seq is still too responsive to vel, try an even lower value for ampeg_veltrack.
If the sfz has no <group> line, then add it as the first line.

Cool Jeff. Thanks for the tip! Can you recommend any good electric guitar samples?

GMaq has a good Les Paul one on his sfz site.
I'm working on a Fender strat sfz that should appear soon.

Hmmm....not seeing the les-paul sample.
I guess I'll wait for you fender strat.
