Beginner USB-Audio-Interface for DJing

Hi Forum,

I've been playing around with Linux and Mixxx for a few years now and decided to get some hardware to step the game up a little.
I'm aiming for this kind of setup for DJing at small parties, at home or in a Chillout-Area at small summer-festivals.
I'm still missing a cheap Audio-Interface to compliment my Midi-Controller as shown the in the graph below.

Can you recommend a cheap Mixxx-Linux-compatible device?
My requirements: Out of the box Linux-Support, low price, no garbage.
Any tips? Is there a list?

This is the Setup I'm aiming for:

Notebook: Acer Aspire S3 391
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Midi-Controller: MAudio X-Sessions Pro
Headphones: AKG K 121
Audio-Interface: MISSING

>Do you think that will work?

Please note that I'm new to this forum. I read the rules.
Searched the internet and the forum in advance before bugging you guys.
Please move if placed wrong.

You're going to want to plug a mic in. Get a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. You can plug 2 mics into it (or 1 mic and a instrument such as keys/guitar), and mix those with two with the computer's stereo playback (over the USB cable).

Those better be powered speakers, or you'll need a power amp.

Thanks for the quick answer.
I've already looked at the Focuisrite Scarlett 2i2. It's the right direction.
Ranging at 135 Euro new and 120 Euro second-hand this sadly is a budget breaker for me.
Line output is nice, line and chinch would be even better.

Chinch for private use, line for semi-public use.

However, I'd choose chich over line because as for my MIDI-Controller I'm aiming at low budget here.

Do you think there's something that suits my needs?

Hej,

I've never heard about a Monitor-Out.

For cueing/ prelistening you can use the internal sound-card with the headphones in the headphone-jack if that is what you mean.

If not, enlighten me please.

Oh ok. I wasn't sure myself but if you can do that then cool.

@tatchYeah, it's one of the cool new features Mixxx offers.
I'm a real novice at recording/DJing/sound so the thing about the monitor and enlightment wasn't sarcastic at all. Just in case.

Ontopic:
With a bit of Google-Fu I found the Behringer UCA202.
Looks very tiny but is for around 30 bucks a real bargain.
What do you think about that thing for my purposes?
