That's great news Mike! Thanks for letting me know - I'll give them a go shortly.

Have you mailed support@tracktion.com to tell them what was wrong or made them aware by some other means? I'll do it if you've not.

@danboid: I'll let them know, as I can provide more technical info if required, and I've had previous email conversations with the main Tracktion dev

Updates to the FC70 Fairchild 670 limiter, PEQ-2A Vintage Pultec EQ and DYN4000 G-series channel dynamics plug-ins have now been added - these should now function correctly in T5 for linux. Free update for existing users - http://www.linuxdsp.co.uk

Has anyone had much luck with Carla vst in Tracktion? I have gone back to 5.3.9 but Carla seems to act strangely, I did manage to load some stuff in to it but the UIs wouldn't open and now I can't load anything in to it, nothing happens when I click Add Plugin.

I'll try it when it makes its way into the KX repo build - it doesn't seem to have made the jump from git yet.

Hopefully by that time there'll be a newer, less borked T5 build than 5.3.14.

Thanks for the note Stan!

- Fix for MIDI Set All Incoming Note Velocities to Full

Sounds like an important fix, I wonder how long that has been broken?

It would seem the Tracktion changelogs are normally incomplete - at least the Linux-specific fixes often don't get a mention.

The drag and drop issue was in the Juce library not in the Tracktion specific code, I guess.

Good point Stan (about it being a JUCE fix instead of a T5 bug)

I had a quick play with the latest version last night and can confirm there seem to be no probs inserting or re-arranging plugs.

Forgive me if this has already been bounced around the room, but I have installed Tracktion 5.3.15, the workflow is a bit weird to get used to but I am getting into it, having an issue with scanning for plugins, on the VST scan it did nothing and then only responded to some ".so" files I got in from a synth download.. and did nothing
and the ladspa scan noted them all down but said they weren't working, not sure there.

does Tracktion handle windows vst files or do I have to get something to help? thanks guys

P.S I am using the Unity windows manager on ubuntu 12.04

T5 does have issues with plugin scanning and VST plugin compat in general. It is its primary weakness. Sometimes you just need to try scanning / killing T5 a few times before it works.

As for windows VSTs etc, you should read the FAQ:
