I'm a geek, with music background. My current project is a system that's lightweight, and Everything is operational, via live USB, or CD. It is designed for music writer, musician, or audiophiles alike, who wants to write, or edit music.
The default setup uses a software synthesizer, so not as hardware dependent. It's Debian based in the testing stages now.
That's enough about my project for now.
I can also help out with ALSA configurations, and most sound card issues.

Welcome! sounds like you're making an audio distro, have you checked out avlinux or kxstudio?
