Hallo,
I have installed KXStudio from a 12.04 Live-DVD and from time to time I receive a message that updates are available. Muon has marked most of the packages and leaves the option to mark additional packages for which other packages have to be changed.
Normally I chose the option to install all available updates but I am not sure that this is correct.
Now for instance, the carla bridge Win32 is offered which I do not use, because no windows is installed. The other additional updates concern the generic linux image 3.2.0-57 and corresponding headers which I probably do not need either.
So I am not sure, wheather the installation of all updates is the better option for a "normal" user. I want to avoid time consuming decisions.
Can you give me some advice please?
