Hi folks,

I'm chris and I'm in Swindon, Wiltshire, which if you didn't know is sort of an open zoo on the outer bounds of the West Country in England, past us and it's all cider and witchcraft...

ANyway, I've been making music most of my life, and I'd liek to get a box sorted out now that my long-on-hiatus studio is coming back together following a house-buying incident a few years ago... THe rig is based around a JD800, a Quasimidi Sirius, some Korg E-seris bo and a pair of Souxesndart Chameleons for the digital side and a Bass-station and a large adn unreliable homebuilt modular for the analogue... Anyway, expect to see some questions regarding setting up a box to do recording adn sequencing on a budget (aren't we all) ... somewhere stashed in the pile there's an audiowerk8 and an Unitor8 that I'd like to get involved, adn I expect the host will be a Dell Precision 470 running a pair of Xeons (old single-cores) at 3GHz with prolly 8Gb (if I can find the other DIMM's and sort out a fan over them)... what I'm hoping for is 16 channels of audio, a few FX and some MIDI sequencing.... given that my Atari Falcon could get close to that (well 8CH+FX adn sequencing) ten years ago, I'm kind of hopeful....even if this box is an antique, it was a brute in its day...
