No sound after installing KXStudio desktop

Hi everybody. I want to be a linux musician, so i decided to install KXStudio desktop on my Kubuntu. The system is updated, i have the firmware for my soundcard (EMU 0404 PCI), and i had sound before. Now i don't. When i do

aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav

i get this:

aplay: main:722: error al abrir audio: Dispositivo o recurso ocupado

(my system is in spanish, last line means something like "error opening audio: Device or resource busy")

Any help would be appreciated.

OK, i did't have my audio device selected on Cadence configuration
Now i have sound, time to struggle with Ardour3!
