I used a Chrome extension called Stylebot

Somehow it can override how Chrome reads CSS. I think the better you understand CSS the more you can do with it (notice the blue bars in the screenshot; I can't get rid of them
) but you really don't need to know much, the gui is fairly intuitive. They also have a library of user contributed styles you can intstall.
