can anyone help me?
i need a program for converting Ascii tabulature (for guitar, bass guitar and drums) to MIDI files. is there any for linux?

I never tried that, but I would suggest to take a look at LilyPond.
It is capable of very much more than that and therefore will require some "preliminaries" as a kind of superimposed ASCII structure with some brackets etc.. But as soon as you have set up them you may simply take them as a kind of template and start filling in your desired tabulature material.

I'm sure there are apps to convert MIDI files to tab but the other way is not going to work. First off, there is no real standard for tab files and many are 'hand written' in a text editor.
Secondly, unlike proper sheet music, tab gives you no idea of rhythm and note duration. The reader has to know the song in order to interpret the tab so even if you do find an app that partly works for this, you will still have a lot of editing to do. So much so that I wouldn't bother looking for a tab -> MIDI converter.
