My First chiptune

Post by ssj71 »

I haven't posted any music lately, so theres probably more on my soundcloud if you want, but I made my first chiptune using lmms. I started with milky tracker but I wanted to get it done and out the door so I went with the more familiar interface. The sounds are all done with the SID emulator except the lead, I couldn't quite get the sound I wanted so I jumped to triple oscillator for that.

Its actually an arrangement of an original song my band wrote nearly 10 years ago (right before I joined). We're working on our first album, and decided to go with an 8-bit theme for the artwork which inspired me to make this song.
Just for fun here's a recording of us playing the original. (not really floss related, there isn't any proprietary software being used in that performance and its just fun music ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYfnkYSxPfY
