This is a song that started as an acoustic doodle on the couch and then I put together a song from it for an Ardour screencast demo. I've decided to include it on an album project I'm working on and changed the original drums to a Hydrogen Kit I created from Addictive Drums using Synthclone. The idea was to get a more cohesive sound like a band recording rather than a collection of sounds for a demo. I hope to do a screencast on using Synthclone soon because it is a very powerful and useful Linux tool to get sounds from one format to another. This song was completed in Ardour 3.3 on AV Linux 6.0.1.

Really nice cut! I want to build a guitar effects processor with an old P3-850MHz, 640MB ram, AGP video and ISA sound card computer. Can this hardware handle the job? Which of the following ISA sound cards:
AWE64 (CT-4520 not gold)
Ensoniq Soundscape VIVO90
Acer Magic s20
Anchor J98MF-009 (AD1848KP/Yamaha OPL/Opti 82C929A)
should I use?
Awesome! I love the blend of it all. And like noted above, the production is great. I especially like how you've really given the lead instrument(s) room to work their magic. Great stuff, keep it coming!
@totalchaos
Hey thanks!, congratulations on your recent project as well! I'm going to check it out ASAP
@gmaslin
Thanks, As far as your other question I honestly don't know, I have no experience with ISA cards on Linux (although I once had 2 T.Beach Pinnacles running together on Windows). My guess is a new embedded Linux device (ie Raspberry Pi etc) would be a more likely and compact way to achieve your goal
@danboid
Thanks for listening, I appreciate it. Actually I didn't intend to mislead, I play in 2 bands, one as a guitarist/singer and one as a drummer, I think the few and brief discussions we've had on our music here and there have focussed on drums for whatever reason..
@zth
Thanks so much! I've been inspired to work much harder on production by listening to a certain Swedish artist with 2 amazing albums under his belt!

Yes, I'm aware that Raspberry Pi has more processing power but I'd have to add a case, power supply and peripherals and I would still lose many of the connectivity options that a PC would provide (ie: parallel port printer, etc.). I suppose i could use a retro OS like NT4 and run guitar rig but I'd rather use linux. If you or anyone reading can point me to where I would be likely to discuss ISA sound cards in this application with those that have experience using them, i would be thankful.
