Can't connect Impro-Visor

Hello,

y have a problem connecting impro-visor to a sampler (like linuxsampler - qsampler in my case).
in the preferences dialogue of impro-visor i am not able to select an instrument but gervill (although i don't have gervill installed neither do I know it).
in catia impro-visor doesn't appear.

does anyone have an idea how to fix that? do you need more information about the problem?
I'm using KXStudio 12.04.1

Impro-visor midi works with virtual midi devices which show up in alsa midi. To start the virtual midi devices you need to do "sudo modprobe snd-virmidi" (i.e. you must be root to start these).
