qjackctl fails to start jack f19

Hello. I've just done a fresh install of Fedora 19 64-bit and I'm having problems with qjackctl. It won't start jackd, although Ardour will. If I start qjackctl after Ardour is running, the connections tab works as it should. So for the time being I'm starting jack with Ardour or from a terminal, but it would be nicer to use qjackctl as usual (I wouldn't have to manually kill jackd to start using pulseaudio again, for instance). From the Ardour log it looks like it's launching jack with "/usr/bin/jackd -p 128 -R -P 60 -T -d alsa -n 2 -r 48000 -p 256 -d hw:3,0 -z triangular". Here is the (hopefully) relevant part of a recent qjackctl error message

Code: Select all

11:16:03.103 JACK is starting...
11:16:03.103 /usr/bin/pasuspender -- jackd -v -u -dalsa -dhw:3,0 -r48000 -p256 -n2 -zs
Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
Cannot connect to server request channel
jack server is not running or cannot be started
My installed version of jack is jackdmp 1.9.9.5, qjackctl is 0.3.10, ardour is Ardour 2.8.16, all from Fedora repos. Anybody have an idea what the problem is? Thanks very much for reading.
