Saving

Hi guys!

I use KXstudio to make music. I LOVE it.
But, I found annoying to load projects in Carla, then re-open all the synth and plugins (saved in the claudia session, of course) and, for all app, load every single savefile...

For example, when I load a project, I have to re-load the Qtractor project, the Hydrogen project, the ZynAddSubFX\other synths savefile, the Claudia savefile, load the Festige plugins and then re-open their savefiles.

You see, it really takes a long time....

Is there a way to load projects in a fast and easy way?
I would like to know how can I improve my workflow with this OS, 'cause it really rocks!

Thanks :)

I understand, but this is only going to launch one application with it's relative savefile...

Can I use this code to implement savefiles in claudia's project? How can I do it?

One of the main points of session management is to simplify saving and loading multiple apps at the same time. If you're using claudia you should be launching the apps from within claudia, which you can save on a per-project basis. Claudia/ladish has a studio>room>project structure: the studio contains the settings for your audio card and rooms are containers to hold your project. So after you set up your audio card you should save those settings as a studio, then create a room (if you're just doing stereo work the first option should be fine) and save your studio again.

Then you can create a new project, choose where to save it and then add the apps you want to start under the room/project. If you have already-running apps then you're gonna want to save and exit them, move their save files to inside the project folder and then right click the room/project and select "run custom", where you'll launch an application like how falktx said. You'll also probably want to set most of your stuff to at least L1 so you can save all your stuff from a single save inside claudia instead of saving all the apps individually.

One cool thing about claudia is that it provides an app launcher that creates all the arguments for each app for you. You can add new apps to your project this way by rightclicking the room/project and selecting "add new". It's kind of cumbersome to add already-existing apps with claudia launcher, so keep that in mind when you are starting a project.

Thanks!
I'll test this way on the next project!
