Not sure if anyone else experiencing this problem, but using alsa_in to connect a second usb sound card makes it fail after a while.

The error shown on the system log is the following: I tried to find a solution but seems to be a problem with the usb-audio driver shipped with kernels 3.8 and 3.9 (I'm using kernel 3.8.0-26-lowlatency) acording to this discussion.

Anyone got a work-around for this? maybe downgrading to kernel 3.7?

There seems to be a lot of trouble with 3.8 and 3.9 kernels and usb audio in general. I am still waiting for the fix in this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1136110 to be released to get my Scarlett 2i2 working with the 3.8 kernel. Until then 3.2 works for me.
