Lmms freezes with Vestige

Hello everyone! I've recently been trying to configure Linux Multimedia Studio, mainly because of it's support for Windows vsts (through Vestige). I'm using the lmms-vst package in my distro, Arch's AUR. It installed fine, and seemed to work fine, until I tried to open saved projects that contained vst plugins ( through Vestige). Then lmms would seem to work, and everything would work except the song editor, (which occasionally works), and the bar at the top, below the tool bar and above the sound editor. If I try to click on this bar, nothing happens, but if I right-click, I get a window that says "about." If I click it, it pops up a window that says, " Made by Safwan Matni, 2008 at Safwan Matni Studio in Gary, IN.
The sounds of this plugins were resampled with no loops in chromatic order." VST Plugin Technology by Steinberg."
I'm a real newbie, and I have no idea what's going on. I'm assuming it's a problem with lmms-vst, but it could be an issue with wine. Any ideas?

And if anyone knows of a good midi sequencer that works with Vestige, like lmms, then let me know

I had a lot of problems with LMMS and finally gave up on it.

Now I'm using NON (Non-Sequencer, Non-Session-Manger, Non-Timeline, Non-Mixer), Festige (for WinVsts) and Carla (for a patchbay and hosting any plugins that aren't WinVsts) and I have a complete DAW that is stable, fast, lightweight and very intuitive. Non-Sequencer isn't much different to program than LMMS and NON is modular: any piece you don't need you don't have to start.

Sounds nice! Do you know how to route/ patch a festige vst into a DAW, like Rosegarden or Ardour?

When you look at Carla's patchbay it should be obvious (unlike Ardour ) it's a simple click and drag to connect outputs to inputs. It's one of the best things about NON.

If you don't need non-vst plugins Catia is an excellent patchbay; if that's not available for Arch then use Patchage. I don't like Patchage as much but it will get the job done. Here's the documentation for NON http://non.tuxfamily.org/wiki/Documentation
