Casio Privia PX-410R on Ardour

Hi,
I need to hook up my Samsung netbook (Mint 13) with Casio Privia PX-410R to record a song for our uni reunion music project. I chose to install Ardour 3 as this seems to be at the best-looking DAW. I also install MuSE as the GUI looks like the early version of Cakewalk. After spending a few hours trying different setup with Jack, i managed to record and playback MIDI notes on Ardour and MuSE.
Problem is when I started to work on the second track, again MIDI but assigned a different channel. I want this track to play a different patch/sound from the first, but both tracks just come out at the Privia exactly the same sound. These two tracks only employ whatever sound I physically choose on the Privia. I also cannot find anyway to assign patch/sound name on each track. Pardon for my ignorance of the technical terms here.
I thought I have given up all my music dream a few years back and sold my Korg Keyboard and totally switched to Linux years ago. This little project a couple of days earlier has rekindled my interest in music writing, but This has taken me a significant amount of time for a totally voluntary project.
I would welcome any more knowledgeable musicians here to point me to a solution of how to properly hooked up the two equipments and get them to work in Linux. Sorry for the very long description and probably very naive issue.
