Hello,

I have switched to ubuntu linux, but I fear I may have done a mistake, as I have no experience with configuring audio on linux.

I have tc desktop konnekt 6, and I would really appreaciate help seting it up, as I've spent the last few hours browsing through forums to no avail.

Can someone please take me step by step, or must I retreat back to windows?I honestly couldn't find any reasonable info..

Thanks!

I neglected to mention that I am familiar with terminal and general linux jargon, so from what I've gathered I need to install fireface drivers, and Jack or something like that, but some guidance would be really appreciated.

you'll need to install the latest FFADO drvers. Also yes you will need to install JACK. You can even just use your package manager for some of this. But actually I would reccommend trying KXstudio or AVlinux from a live DVD(google them). I believe they have everything you need already included which makes it very easy. Also the people that develop them are on this forum and are very helpful. They can probably give you better directions. I switched from windows and it wasn't very difficult with a little help from the nice folks here.
