Non Sequencer and NSM

When I open NSM and enter non-sequencer as an item, it does not open. Seems to crash. Is this a known issue, or am I doing something wrong?

I tried this in Avlinux and Ubuntu studio.

I've download the zip file on github, https://github.com/original-male/non/tr ... cer-v1.9.4

And builded mixer and timeline from git master

./waf configure --project mixer
./waf
./waf install

same for --project timeline and session-manager

Non-seq doesn't work nicely yet with the new NTK. There is an new branch in git for non-sequencer, but that's work in progress

I'm using Non-seq from the KxStudio-Team Main repo's with git builds of Timeline, Session Manager and Mixer and it's working great.

As to the OP's problem, I've never experienced that. You could try using the git builds for Timeline, Session Manager and Mixer from the KxStudio testing ppa https://launchpad.net/~kxstudio-team/+archive/testing and the KxStudio-Team Main ppa for Non-sequencer https://launchpad.net/~kxstudio-team/+archive/ppa because, as studio32 points out, the git build for Non-seq is kinda buggy right now.

EDIT: Oops! I'm going to have to take back what I said about it working great. I got a sudden case of the xruns earlier and ended up rolling back to the Main repo builds for all. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I can't wait until all that goodness is stable.

I have this problem with Non-Sequencer as well (hand built from git master) but have sidestepped it for the time being by running it via nsm-proxy (by running "non-sequencer projectname" as NSM client, and then saving a project with that name in the nsm-proxy directory that creates within the NSM session directory. A little janky, and it loses some session features like auto saving, but works reliably every time

I just heard about the newer non-seq git branch though, I'm gonna try that in the morning and see if the problem has gone away in the latest version
