Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Seems F hasn't packaged obxd yet. Anyone got a working link for a Obxd VST x64 build or source that includes a Linux makefile?
antiesen: I think you did well to build Obxd if you're not a programmer as I don't see any UNIX makefile for it on github. Did you not consider contributing your makefile to its github repo?

Surely there is a preset system else what are the links to patches for on its homepage?

I downloaded said code from github but I could only see an Xcode project file, which is no use to non-OSXers.
I must be missing something. Tips appreciated!

@ danboid
You need juce to do it: http://www.juce.com/about-juce the program introjucer is managing the
files and generating the makefiles.
But meanwhile I can build the lvst inside the distro port of bpw
http://sourceforge.net/u/bpow/distrho/ci/obxd/tree/
which is less cpu-hungry.
(also working here with qtractor, muse and carla - but not with tracktion.)
So if you are a real sportsman you can try to build:
obxd_u-bow_additional.zip

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Thanks for pointing that out antiesen! The only JUCE plugins I think I've ever built have been those in DISTRHO but they don't require you use introjucer so that'll explain my confusion.
I may have a go at building it before F gets his DISTRHO updates done if I get impatient but I want to use it under Tracktion. Hopefully his build will fix whatever might be preventing it working there.

Yeah I know there are presets, but there is no way to load them with the actual lv2 build. That's what I meant.danboid wrote:stanlea:

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Thanks for all the work put into getting this plugin on linux guys!
One question. Is there a way to import the presets?

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Thanks for packaging obdx falkTX!
Its a pretty nice synth but Noizemaker remains the top dog of the FLOSS softsynths for me.
As has already been mentioned, Tracktion freezes as soon as you insert Obxd onto a track but it works fine under qtractor. I have reported the Tracktion Obxd freeze on their KVR forum.
I too am wondering about the Obxd presets. I presume they'll need to be copied into ~/.vst or somewhere? Not tried yet.

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Is the format documented someplace? I didn't find anything in some cursory google searches. A script could probably be written to convert preset files to .ttl for lv2 versions.falkTX wrote:The presets I've seen so far are in VXB/VXP format, which is the host-side format for VST presets.
It's up to the host to support these presets.

Those on AVLinux can get the debs here:
