can't find Discovery R3.3 plugin

Post by chbu »

I try to test the demo version of Discovery R3.3 and Highlife from DisoDSP and install both at /usr/lib/vst .
Highlife runs with ardour3 and carla but I can't find Discovery anywhere.
Any ideas?

thanks
chris

Yes, you are right. I thought because of the information on there website there would be 32bit and 64bit version, but I was wrong. Discovery is only 32 bit.
I send them a mail. Maybe they release a 64 bit version this year. We will see.

I can't load it in Qtractor. Qtractor seems to freeze if i want to load it.
I tried ardour3 last build, and it doesn't start up with the discovery plugin.
If a remove the plugin it starts without any problem.
Carla seems also to have problems. If i want to refresh the plugin list it stopts by Discovery.so

I'll redownload it, maybe error in the zip file.
Download it second time, doesn't seem to help :(

Renoise also fails with discovery plugin so i guess there something wrong with the file i'm downloading(or my harddrive?)

Edit: Solved, forgot to place the discodsp directory in my home directory
