multiple problems with cadence and cadence tools

I'm running 12.10 ubuntu with pulseaudio and kxstudio on top, wondering if anybody else is segfaulting whenever they try to open up cadence or claudia. Catia works fine though. Also carla was in a usable state until I think the last upgrade or something because now I'm getting this:

It may be a problem with my install, even though it's pretty new; I've been having issues all over the place. But if there's a way to get it into a usable state without having to do a clean install I'd prefer that.

edit: catia just segfaulted when I tried to split seq24. I'm probably just gonna go ahead and wipe this computer later today and put on 12.04, 12.10 can ************** ******** ************

Hi, I have a problem with carla since the last update 1:0.5.0+git 20120303.
When I try to load a plugin nothing happens any more. No plugin get start.
I try to downgrade carla but I could not find a earlier version in synaptic.

Carla is a great tool and I use it very often.

I installed 12.04.2, fresh install and things work as I guess they're supposed to (carla is a weird combination of itself and claudia right now but you're working on it right?). For now I'll keep an eye on the other thread for updates, thanks falk.
